Kenneth G.T. Clemons, 75, native of Newark, NJ peacefully passed away on March 2, 2023 at the East Orange VA Medical Center with his family by his side.
Kenneth Clemons was born in Camila Georgia on October 16th, 1947 to the late proud parents of Howard and Essie Bell Clemons.
Notably known as Kenny, he was the 6th child born out of 8 siblings. 3 brothers; Fred, Saadiq, Jerome, and 4 sisters; Lillian, Patricia, Vera, and Gertrude.
Kenny graduated from Southside High School in 1965. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served a tour of duty in the Vietnam War as a 9120 Medical Specialist. After serving his country in the war, he received the title of Honorable Character of Service along with the rank of PVT-E1. Following his military service, he went on to work for the Newark Board of Education until he retired.
Kenny will always be remembered as loving, caring, and charitable who never complained and was devoted to his family. He loved to watch all sports, dance, laugh, and tell jokes. Kenny will always be known for his amazing gentle soul.
Kenny was proceeded in death by his father Harold Clemons, Mother Essie Clemons, Sisters Lillian Turner, Vera Clemons, Patricia Warren and Gertrude Pinkett, great nephews Derrick, Tirrell, Craig, and great niece Angel. He is survived by his brothers Fred, Saadiq, and Jerome. Kenny will be deeply missed by his brothers, nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great great nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
