Isiah Benton Jr.

ISIAH BENTON JR 
MARCH 18, 1963 - JANUARY 23, 2021 

Isiah Benton Jr. was born March 18, 1963 in Newark, NJ to Isiah Benton Sr. and the late Gennie V. Perry Benton. 

He was raised in Newark, NJ until the 1970s when his mother moved him and his brother, Keith, to Irvington, NJ. 

Isiah was very active in sports. He played football for the Irvington Colts and the Irvington Campers. He also played basketball for the Weequahic Indians while attending high school. He was very well known for his love of dancing. He was also a lover of fashion and even modeled in his early 20s. 

Isiah worked as a manger for Honda before joining the managerial team at Stop and Shop where he worked for several years. 

He is survived by his father, Isiah Benton Sr.; step-mother, Cici Carter; two daughters, La Kirah Ses­soms and La Toya Benton; one son, Isiah Benton III; one brother, Keith Benton; one sister-in-law, Deborah King-Benton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
