Faheem Shabazz, 59 years old, real estate investor, prison outreach minister, pillar of the community, returned to Allah on January 24, 2021.
He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 29th, 1961. Faheem Shabazz was the treasured son of Dora Williams and Elgin Louis. Faheem was a strong and faithful Muslim. His mission was to educate and reform his people.
Faheem's greatest joy in life was his son. Faheem was a dedicated, loving father to his son, Ibn Shabazz, and so many others.
Faheem had a great sense of humor, and he was a jokester. He was a force whose presence often lit up the room he was in.
He is survived by his loving mother, Dora Williams of Jacksonville FL, his son Ibn Shabazz of Maplewood NJ, Shareef Abdulraouf from Georgia, and his longtime friend, Sylvia Bellamy of Newark, NJ. He's also survived by his step children Dominic Coley of Linden NJ and Demarcus Coley of New York. Preceeded in death: Father: Elgin Louis of Jacksonville FL, and Calvin Eugene Carter of Newark NJ.
