Mr. Stephen A. Vaughn

December 10, 1985 — August 4, 2017

Stephen A. "Yello" Vaughn unexpectedly departed his life Friday, August 4, 2017. Stephen is survived by his 5 beautiful children (oldest-youngest): his 4 boys Zakai Terry, Josiah Berkery, Stephen Jr., Logan and his 1 & only princess Niami Vaughn; Karen Vaughn (mother), and Zuberi Vaughn (brother); 5 first cousins whom were also known as his brothers/sisters, great cousins, aunts/uncles and host of many other relatives. He is preceded in death by Curtis & Julia Vaughn (grandparents), Steven Vaughn (uncle), and Tina Moore (aunt). Stephen A. "Yello" Vaughn, son of Ms. Karen Vaughn was born December 10, 1985 in Newark, New Jersey. He was the oldest of two. He attended the public schools of Newark, St. Rosa Lima, and later attended St. Patrick's high school. At an early age Yello was the kid that brought life into a room with a vibrant smile, funny jokes, and smooth dance moves. He cherished family especially his relationship with his mother. Many knew him as "Yello" but to family he was the "Golden Boy" or "Mr. Banana" (called by his uncle Tony). He worked many years in sneaker retail and did security part-time. He was a devoted father and loved all his children unconditionally. He wasn't a sports guy but he had a great love for skating and ladies. Late in life he started school and frequently visited different Masjid's. Because of his infectious smile and cool guy personality, he was loved by many. His life was as fun as the jokes that he loved to tell, and his untouchable style will influence and forever remain in the lives of all who knew him so well
