Sahib Muhammad

Sahib Salahudeen Muhammad also known as   Richard E. Hayward, departed this world September 13, 2020.  Sahib was born in Newark, New Jersey on June 10, 1937 to  Buckey and Lillian Hayward.

He was educated in the Newark Public School System.  Brother Sahib proclaimed his faith in Al Islam in the early 1960’s at Temple 25 located at 257 South Orange Avenue.  Brother Richard 7X took the name Salahudeen and followed the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Sahib leaves his devoted son Hassan Muhammad, brother Kenny    Hayward, three sisters; Rosetta Reamer, Yvonne McMillan and Sondra Hayward and Umm Khadijah Williams. 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great     Grandchildren .

A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Sahib is          predeceased by his loving parents Buckey and Lillian Hayward, his wife Sondra Hayward and daughter Sharnett Hayward, son Rahim Williams, his brothers Vernon  and Vincent Hayward, sisters Sylvia Onque and Gloria Hayward.
