Marvin Marshall

Marvin Marshall was born in Newark, NJ on May 31st, 1941 to Louella and George Marshall. He returned to the Most Gracious, Most Merciful Allah on August 4th, 2024. Marvin was the third oldest of 12 siblings, and he is preceded in death by five brothers  Jeffrey (Rasul), Ira (Lyn), George Jr.(Al Haqqah), Brian(Beeky), Tyrone and one sister Aloma Marshall. He leaves behind sisters, Gail(Wakeelah) and Deborah(Deb). Brothers, Eugene(Shamsideen), Terrence(Terr), Shawn Marshall and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marvin was a leader and served his community in many ways. He became a minister for a time , with the Nation of Islam at Mosque #25 in Newark, NJ. As Marvin 4x of the FOI, he met his former wife and mother of four of his children, Vivian (Halimah)of the MGT.  He was a laborer for General Motors and Tasty Bread Factory many years ago before deciding to become a small business owner. He was blessed to open a neighborhood store for a while. When his store closed, his determination to sell goods in the community as an independent salesman,brought him many loyal customers and associates from all walks of life for over 20 years. Marvin was respected and loved by his family.  As a father, grandfather and great grandfather, his wise words and hearty laugh will always be remembered. He is survived by his children, Lance(Rashid), Amir, Yaminah, Mikal Dawud, Bahiya. Beloved grandchildren, Fatimah, Quadir, Ibtihaj, Mikal Ali, Saidah, Ihsan, Kawanne, Zoe Lyn and a host of great grandchildren.
