Majied Muhammad (John Eric Watson) was born to Robert Frank Watson Sr. and Elaine Watson on March 4, 1952 in Newark, NJ. Majied attended South 8th St. Elementary and Barringer High School, both in Newark, NJ.
Majied joined the Nation of Islam in 1972 soon after adopting the Sunnah. He was a major participant in fundraisers, community development and played a pivotal role in the growth and maintenance of his Masjid.
Majied was preceded in death by both parents and loving brother Robert Watson Jr., who was also his brother in Islam.
He leaves to mourn his one uncle, his loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
