Imam Wali Umrani

Imam Wali Agin Umrani returned to Allah on February 4, 2025.  One of six children, he was the oldest son of Patsy and Buford Beverett. .As a youth, he was a baseball pitcher and football quarterback at Weequahic and East Orange High schools.  Following high school, he completed some studies at Seton Hall University.  Later, as an entrepreneur, he traveled throughout the country and internationally.  Throughout his life, Imam Umrani was committed to studying and sharing his knowledge of Islam.  He will be remembered for his concern for helping others.  He is survived by his wife, sons, daughters, mother, brothers, sister, grandchildren and host of relatives and friends.
