Gladys V Powell -Murray

Gladys V. Powell-Murray was born May 17, 1931 in Trenton New Jersey to the late Winfred and Jimmie E. Powell. She departed this life on September 22, 2013 at Capital Health (Fuld) Hospital Trenton N.J. Gladys was an outgoing person with a great sense of humor, she was always willing to help anyone in need as she tried to point out the good in all bad. She loved taking her daily walk to get her newspapers during her mature life as she continuously exhibited an interest doing what she really enjoyed the most ... watching her sports as well as her soap operas! In spite of her pastime she had a long successful work history. Gladys was a strong believer in family values. She touched many lives during her illuminating stay with us. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Anthony Hasib Abdur-Rahman (Sumia); two sisters, Winfred Holt (Robert), Agnes Bickham ( Lea & Yolanda-Lolly); seven grandchildren: Sharika, Shelly, April, Shuaib, Sulaiman, Salih and Sameera; 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; special brother & sister Howard & Ellen Banks and a host of other aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Winfred & Jimmie Elizabeth Powell, sister Joyce Powell, brother Norman Powell and son Garland Isa Abdur-Rahman.
