Gary Whitehurst

Gary Whitehurst was born on December 27, 1958 in Newark New Jersey to the late Dorothy Whitehurst and James Rich.

Gary attended school in   Newark NJ. He loved to dance and had a great sense of humor. Gary received his acceptance into Islam at the age of 16. He was a fruit of Islam and was very proud. Gary worked various jobs in his life,  receiving his CDL as a truck driver. He was gainfully employed for nine years at CRS & VM Trucking located in Newark NJ.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons Fateen and Isiah and one   daughter Najirah Powell. His three older siblings Michael (Gwendolyn), Gilda ( Barry Newby ) and Sari Whitehurst.        Janazah Prayer to be held on Saturday November 9 at 10am at Firdous Funeral Chapel 579 Grove Street, Irvington, NJ.
