Derrick Jones

Derrick Duquan Jones was called home on November 24, 2019, in Newark, NJ. He was born on January 02, 1956 and was raised in Newark, NJ. Derrick was the son of Charles Jones and Pearl Virgina Jones who are both predeceased. He has seven children: Patrice Jones (predeceased) and is survived by six children: Tujuan Jones, Rajan Childs, Derrick Jones, Duquan Jones, Duquan Leonard and Duquanah Leonard. He has two siblings: Nadine Jones (predeceased) and is survived by his brother, Keith Jones. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Derrick attended local schools in Newark, NJ. After graduation, he worked for Coach bus company for over 20 years and was also a truck driver for over a decade. Mr. Jones was loving, generous, with a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. He loved spending time with his family and children. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him. He truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures and our love for him will live in our memories forever.
