Aamir Rahjan Hayes- AbdulGhaffar A.K.A. Hayes, departed this life on September 3, 2014 . Aamir was born on September 20, 1990 in Newark , New Jersey to Rahjan Kariem AbdulGhaffar and Cherise Hayes. Aamir was raised in East Orange , New Jersey and attended East Orange Public Schools system. During his attendance at Campus High he was a member of the Chess and Debate teams and Aamir was a fan of many sports while in high school he ran Track and Field and was voted Most Valuable Player for Long Distance Running. After school and on the weekends he could be found on the Kuziri Kijiji basket ball court, shooting hoops and playing games with the neighborhood boys. Amir attended Dar Islam Islamic Weekend Program with his cousin Najee and Ashabul Yameen's Saturday Sessions with his cousin Asmar. During the summers Amir would be spent with his best friends Isiah and Ahmad at the Seton Hall Upward Bound Program where Aamir was voted Poet Laureate . After Aamir graduated from Campus High with Honors, he was accepted into Rider University and majored in Psychology. While in attendance at Rider University Aamir achieved the Dean's List during his second semester. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted parents, adoring siblings, Ajhane Hayes, Nazir and Munirah AbdulGhaffar. His paternal grandparents Jalilah AbdulGhaffar , Istaw Kariem Ali and a great grandmother Shiley D. Drake. His maternal grandparents, Arthur Lee Williams, Jr. and Fletcher and Lori Stokley. Great grand parents Arthur Lee Williams, Sr. and Sara Williams, and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues and well wishes. A special shout out to his cousin Mumid whose inspiring guidance gave Aamir invaluable support at a crucial time in his life, and special thanks to Akee who also played an important role in his development. Aamir will immeasurably missed and loved forever.
