Yusuf Bilal

Yusuf Bilal passed away on June 30,2019, having reached the age of 82.   He was born in Ben Hill County, GA on June 29, 1937.  Yusuf was predeceased by his parents Luther and Aletha, 13 siblings and his wife of 52 years, Patricia Ann Bilal.  He is survived by his sons Kevin Bilal, Keith Bilal (Katrina) and Brian Bilal and daughters Tracie Hunter (Gene) and Connie Bilal, grandchildren Shanae Major, Keith Bilal Jr., Jordan Hunter, Zhana Bilal, brothers and sister, Doris Putman, Luther Tucker Jr., and William Tucker, neices, nephews, and numerous other family members and friends. 

After completing high school, Yusuf joined several of his siblings and moved to New Jersey and became a certified technician by trade.  Yusuf was also a leader in the community serving local youth teaching Taekwondo for multiple decades at the South Street Youth Center dating back to 1968.  Yusuf was an avid bowler and a member of Plainfield Senior Citizens center.

Yusuf was a long time member of Masjid-Ullah in Plainfield, NJ.  In the last 3.5 years, Yusuf was lovingly cared for by staff at Care-One Assisted Living in Bound Brook, NJ.
