GRACE TEMPLE BOWMAN was born on Monday, November 15, 1948, to the late Lafayette Bowman and Helen Hopkins, in Orange, New Jersey. She departed this life and went home to her Creator on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
GRACE, as she was affectionately called, attended the Orange public school system. She was a member of the local Islamic Community.
GRACE was a woman who initiated the lead in helping less fortunate people attain community resources. GRACE never showed any type of feeling of distress ans was not one to complain. She would never sit around waiting for a handout and would make the best of what she had. Throughout her lifetime she had the good fortune of meeting many great friends and they loved her dearly. Over the years, her health started to cause complication and she never stopped interacting with people she loved. GRACE never thought she was to good to be friends with someone. “What can I say? It takes a certain kind of person to be afriend with GRACE”. Over the years she lost contact with many of her beloved friends who she always remembered. She will be forever loved and missed.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son, Abdullah Bowman. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: a daughter, Ivori Wright; four grandchildren, Amirah Bowman, Sanadiqiyah, Saladeen and Jordan; her cherished uncle, Harry Hopkins and a host of loving family and many friends.
Lovingly submitted,
