Frank (Mu’min) Cooper was born on February 15, 1960 in Newark, NJ to Carolyn Freeman and Robert Woodson Jr.
On August 1, 2019 a beloved angel called him home to his final resting place. Mu’min had been employed by York Construction Company for many years before leaving due to health problems.
Mu’min had a big heart of gold. He loved helping others and he was an guardian angel to many many people in Newark. His joy in life was to make sure his family and friends were well taken care of. You could always count on him to help you out in any situation in your life. He would flash that big smile that would light up a room. Mu’min will leave a void in the lives of many people. He will be truly missed by his family.
Mu’min was loving, devoted and supportive father to his children. He leaves to cherish his memory his five children, Ibn Horton, Mu’min Loyal, Tasmiyah Wolfe, Anson Boyd, and Sha’had Harris. And his grandchildren Shelly Loyal, Cameron Loyal, Jaden Loyal, and Kamiya Harris.
He also leaves fond memories for his long time beloved fiancée Karen Roberts and her children Alameen, Sieema, Shareenah, Shafegah, Saffiyah, and Aishadirah. And his honorary grandchildren Samir-Ameen, Zhianna, Jauriah, Abdul-Ahmed, Kybree Mu’adh and Quran.
Mu’min leaves behind his four siblings Demitra Bacon (Tyron), Robert Vann, Leslie Freeman (Ali), Latifah Freeman (Doobie). He leaves a host of 23 nieces and nephews, 24 great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved aunt Dorothy Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and sister Towana Cooper.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
