Graham was born on November 17, 1964, at the Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield NJ. When Eli was 7 years old he was involved in a hit and run car accident which left him in a coma for 3 months with 6 broken ribs and a broken arm and leg. At the age of 7, the doctors gave up on Eli however, Eli had a strong will to survive. His road to recovery was long but Eli was no stranger to challenges. Eli attended Sister Clara Muhammad School in Newark N.J. In 1985, he graduated from Vocational Tech in Jersey City, N.J. Throughout the years, he's had to make adjustments to thrive in this world. Despite his disability, he managed to travel and get around while always showing a warm smile. Eli was also very gifted, his talents included singing, playing the piano and creating beautiful paintings. He was a beacon of joy as he brought light and laughter to others lives through his talents and personality. All of his life he was a avid member of the Masjid Muhammad in Jersey City, N .J. Eli was a praying and spiritual person that was close to Allah God. He would always say it was by God's grace & mercy. You could not shake his faith, he was a faithful man who Loved Islam and all of his fellow brothers and sisters. He is survived by his brother, Willie Graham Jr., his two sisters, Felicia Graham-Enix and Alethea Graham, and his mother and father, Lillie Graham-Shider and Willie Graham Sr. Eli leaves behind a large supporting family and host of friends who will love and miss him dearly.
