Abdul R. Uthman

Abdul R. Uthman was born on June 16, 1947, in Newark, NJ to Dorothy A. Brown and Harold Brown. Abdul passed away on December 14, 2019. 
Abdul was educated in the Newark Public School system and worked as a painter for the Painter’s Union DC Local 1004. 
Abdul was a devoted father and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He was also fiercely into the Islamic faith. 
Abdul is predeceased by his mother Dorothy A. Brown, father Harold Brown, son Jihad A. Uthman, brothers Ronald Brown, Lawrence Brown, and Kevin Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Jeanette Lamb, his brother Eugene Brown, and his daughters Nadirah Brown, Alita Thompson, Safiyyah Price, & Tauheedah Uthman. His grandchildren Khadijah Brown, Khairi Brown, Al-Shaquan Jackson-Jones, Tianna Thompson, Alaya Thompson, Al-Shakir Jackson, Samiyyah Price, Michael Hightower, Maiya Hightower, and great-grandson Asahd Brown. He also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
