Markese Nelson was born October 14, 1979 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to his father, Undray M. Ingram, who preceded him in death and mother, Deborah Nelson. He returned to Allah March 16, 2024. Markese started his educational journey within the Plainfield School system where he grew up and ultimately attained his high school diploma from Middlesex High School. Markese had many accomplishments in his life, including obtaining his DDA certificate in order to assist families and individuals with developmental disabilities. In addition, he completed his Peer Recovery certificate with the State of Maryland so that he could provide targeted services for those recovering from addiction. Markese had a long standing career in the trucking industry attaining his CDL license in the state of Maryland. In addition to his trucking career, he also had a deep love and passion for bikes. Markese was an active member of the Road Wolves motorcycle club in Washington, D.C., where he held the rank of Sergeant at Arms. If he was not on the road with his Harley and attending club events, Markese loved spending time with his family and creating some of the most joyous moments in his life. He was a loving husband, father, son and friend.
Markese leaves behind his wife, Shalonda Nelson, mother, Deborah Nelson, son Markese Nelson, Jr., step children Shilisa Branch and Kevin Jackson, Uncle, Lorance Salahuddin (Sal) Nelson, sisters Shiheta Engram and Naeemah Cooper , younger brother, Undray (Scoot) Ingram, close cousins Salahuddin (Nu-Nu) Nelson, (who preceded him in death), Deandre Norris, Ramadan Mason, Jerome Johnson and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
